St. Clair County

Distinguished Young Women of St. Clair County is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent in young women.

Cash scholarships are awarded at the local level and millions in college-granted scholarships are available ($1.5 billion nationally). And local winners will advance to the state program in Montgomery, Alabama where they give away more than $42,500 in cash tuition scholarships.

Program Dates

Our Class of 2018 scholarship program was held June 3, 2017 at Springville Middle School. Savannah Jackson of Ragland High School is our Distinguished Young Woman of St. Clair County for 2018.

Deadline for participation of the Class of 2019 will be Friday, March 9, 2018. Please apply online so we can inform you of our plans as they progress. Tentative program day will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Springville Middle School.
